During an initial naturopathic consultation, a careful history will be taken. You will be asked questions about your current health concerns, past illnesses your family health history, and environments at work and home. You will also be asked about your diet and lifestyle. Expect to have your blood pressure taken and a check of your eyes, tongue, and nails. A tailored treatment plan is created from the information that is gleaned, and short and long-term goals are set. Treatment may include nutritional and lifestyle advice, herbal prescriptions, supplements, Bach Flower remedies and homeopathic doses of substances. An important part of the initial consultation will be to educate you about how to make changes that will improve your health. Please bring in any relevant current test results and a list of any prescribed medications and supplements that you are already taking.

In follow-up consultations, your treatment and progress are reviewed. We fully review your physical and emotional health, and review the changes you’ve made to your lifestyle and diet. Any pathology tests that may have been ordered in the initial consultation will be analysed and reported upon. Your treatment plan will be adjusted accordingly.
Studies show that massage increases circulation, which brings oxygen and nutrients to the surrounding tissue, whilst at the same time flushing away waste. Studies also suggest that massage may help to reduce subacute low back pain. If you are looking for a way to relax and reduce stress and anxiety, then massage therapy may complement your other health modalities.
